Interior designers create functional, safe, and beautiful indoor spaces for clients by determining space requirements and selecting materials, colors, and lighting. Their responsibilities may include:
- Meeting with clients: To identify goals and requirements for the space
Preparing designs: To meet the client's needs, such as drawing sketches for consideration- Specifying materials: For decoration, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, and flooring
Coordinating with contractors: During construction
- Using software: To design architectural interiors in 2D and 3D
Reading and editing blueprints: As needed
