Job Brief
We are looking for a Test Engineer who will be responsible for carrying out durability and performance testing of our robots on the field in coordination with the various stakeholders. They would need to be proficient with preparing the Design Verification Plan (DVP) with respect to the project timeline and execute the test. The test engineer will report to the Machine Testing Lead.
Ultimately, you'll ensure our final products meet our safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Take care of agricultural field durability and end to end on-field performance testing of the robots.
- Prepare DVP & report and execute the test according to the Project plan.
- About learning other domain testing Software, Electronics etc... to know the cause of failures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand testing parameters, plan test schedules, strategies by project scope and deployment plan.
- Responsible for assessing bugs/error/failure priority & severity, effectively sharing the same with the various stakeholders.
- Reporting, follow-up, bug/error/failure tracking and risks and escalations
- Travel to the various regions where testing is carried out viz. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh Maharashtra, Gujarat & Punjab for seasonal testing.
- Coordinate on all ground level activities.
- Work closely with the production team to understand the specific requirements of the product which was building
- Inspect materials and machinery to identify defects and malfunctions.
- Monitor all production stages to ensure safety procedures are followed.
- Intent to create the new test rigs with respect to the projects
- Run quality controls on components and final products.
- Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems.
- Analyze test results, detect issues and track root causes.
- Suggest fixes and improvements.
- Document technical issues and solutions.
- ORC management
- Build an automated testing process for regular checks.
- Ensure our products and procedures meet industry standards (e.g. ISO) Requirements and Skills
Requirements And Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Product Testing
- Understand the System Requirements
- Understand, Contribute to, and Update FMEA
- Derive test cases from SRS, FMEA
- Identify the test equipment requirement
- Deep knowledge of test equipment operation & usage
- System Integration Testing
- Understand quality metrics, yield, process capability etc
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering
- Good practical experience in testing robotics implements.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and align the testing according to the same.
- Familiarity with various testing techniques
- Education - BE/BTech/ME/MTech
