Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for renewable energy projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate I&C systems into overall project designs.
- Develop and program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Distributed Control Systems (DCS) for renewable energy applications.
- Optimize control algorithms to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Select, install, and calibrate sensors for monitoring and control purposes.
- Ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition for system feedback and control.
- Implement Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for real-time monitoring and control of renewable energy facilities.
- Configure SCADA systems to provide actionable insights and facilitate remote operation.
- Calibrate and maintain instrumentation devices to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sensors, transmitters, and other I&C components.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including specifications, drawings, and manuals.
- Document changes and updates to I&C systems for future reference.
- Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of I&C systems.
- Provide technical support during project commissioning and startup.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
- Solid understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and automation technologies.
- Proficiency in PLC and DCS programming.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and HMI interfaces.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles in industrial control systems.
Experience:
- Previous experience in I&C engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience with sensors, transmitters, actuators, and other instrumentation devices.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 61499, IEC 61850, and ISA-95.
- Practical experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of I&C systems.
