Roles and Responsibilities:- Instructional Design & Development:
Course Design: Develop instructional materials and create engaging, effective learning experiences for online courses. Structure course content, set clear learning objectives, and select appropriate teaching methods.
- Content Integration: Work closely with subject matter experts and scriptwriters to integrate content into various formats (e.g., text-based modules, interactive elements). Ensure that all materials are pedagogically sound and aligned with learning objectives.
Assessment Creation:
Design assessments and evaluation tools to measure learner progress and the effectiveness of the instruction. Create quizzes, tests, and practical exercises that align with course objectives.User Experience:
Focus on creating an engaging and intuitive user experience for learners. Design easy-to-navigate course structures and ensure accessibility for all users.Content Coordination:
Oversee the development process of instructional materials, including coordinating with scriptwriters and ensuring timely delivery of course components.Quality Assurance:
Review and test instructional materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to design standards. Revise content based on feedback from pilot testing and learner reviews.Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of instructional design processes, decisions, and revisions. Ensure course materials are kept up-to-date and reflect current standards.
Research & Analysis: Stay updated on instructional design trends and learning technologies. Incorporate best practices and innovative approaches into course design.
- Feedback Integration: Collect and analyze feedback from learners and instructors to continuously improve course materials and instructional methods.
- Specific Skills or Qualifications Required:
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in instructional design software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Knowledge of e-learning standards and best practices, including SCORM and xAPI.- Experience in designing interactive and multimedia content, even if multimedia resources are developed outside the team.
Soft Skills:- Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with subject matter experts and other stakeholders.- Ability to analyze learner needs and adapt instructional materials accordingly.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Previous experience in instructional design, with a portfolio of course materials and projects.
