Inside Sales Support Account Manager to support the very successful growth of our businesses across the India TA Division.
As an Inside Sales Account Manager, this role will focus on sales support and marketing activities implementation. You will be required to team up with cross-functional departments such as Marketing, Service, Sales, etc., to boost Waters business in local territories. Your knowledge in technology and working experience in analytical chemistry labs are strongly expected to make Waters Customer Success. This position would cover the India region.
Responsibilities
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
- Develops customer accounts by reviewing their purchase history, recommending related and new products, and explaining technical features.
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information; preparing quotations and closing orders.
- Meet weekly productivity metrics (phone calls, phone attempts, e-mail etc.)
- Increasing market-share at existing accounts and prospecting new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Field Sales counterparts to drive business
- Utilizing Waters internal CRM database as a tool for tracking sales activities, open opportunities and campaign follow-up initiatives.
- Handle inquiries from customers via phone and email, providing information about products and services.
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities with new and existing customers, driving sales.
- Maintain and update customer databases, tracking purchasing history and communication records.
- Create quotations based on customer needs and clearly explain proposal details.
- Gather feedback from customers to inform product and service improvements.
- Investigate market trends and competitor information to improve sales strategies.
- Conduct or support local seminars, marketing events, and solution demonstrations on customer sites.
- Assist in preparing tender documentation.
- Work closely with the sales team to achieve and exceed business goals.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Service, and Sales teams to collect, evaluate, and forecast local business data.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors/ master's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience:
- Should have worked as a tele marketer/in inside sales role for at least 3-5 years and should have a good track record as far as achievements of goals are concerned

- Highly organized / well-prepared / time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
- Matured disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
- Adaptive to a dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in handling entire process of GEM ( Govt. Tender portal).
- Good to have strong technical background or knowledge in Thermal and Rheology Instruments like DSC, TGA, SDT,DMA, TMA and Rheometer.
