Job Title: Infrastructure Mgmt Tech I
Overview
The Infrastructure Management Tech level uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate section. Normally receives general instruction on routine work, and detailed instruction on new assignments. Develop interpersonal and team skills. Should be familiar with Networking terminology and basic support. May work on a project team as a participant or responsible for the portion of work or project. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing technical information to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization. Requires a technical degree or 3-5 years of related work experience. Strong documentation, ability to form customer relationships and communication skills required.
Responsibilities
The Infrastructure Mgmt Tech role provides ongoing administration and support of large enterprise systems at a client site. Sets up user accounts on company's servers and runs necessary system backups and network support.
Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provides end user training where required. Works with vendors, end users,
Customer Service Representatives and other technical staff to resolve advanced hardware/software issues.
Qualifications
Perform tasks as assigned, following authorized procedures.
Have a good understanding of networking architecture. (Switches, Routers, IP assignments, Firewall). A CCNA is recommended for this role. Monitor and work in a multi-platform environment. Assist in monitoring of the daily production schedule and verify that no problems have occurred. Initiate corrective action, when required, as per departmental documentation. Recognize and address problems when they occur. Have good written skills to create trouble reports and good verbal skills to communicate problems to IT personnel, client staff & vendors when problems arise. Execute standard changes into the environment as per the documented process.
Hours and shift coverage must be flexible. Individuals must be dependable.
Must demonstrate the ability to be able to work independently and without direct supervision. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
12 Hour shift work is required - Shift 7 AM - 7 PM
