Job Overview:
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting across a wide range of hardware, software, and network systems. This position ensures that end users can efficiently utilize company technology and applications by resolving technical issues in a timely and effective manner. The ideal candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a solid foundation in IT infrastructure, while ensuring compliance with ITIL processes and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Knowledge: Expertise in supporting HP laptops, Logitech peripherals, Avaya phone systems, and other critical hardware systems.
- Desktop Operating Systems: Experience with desktop operating systems and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).
- Application Support: support experience with Office 365, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe products.
- Basic User Administration: Hands-on experience with Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCP for basic user administration.
- Network Troubleshooting: Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting VPN-related issues.
- Diagnostic Utilities: Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as Anydesk/Copilot remote support and the HP support portal for troubleshooting.
- ITIL Knowledge: Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment with a solid understanding of ITIL principles and processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 4 to 5 years of experience in IT support or a technical support role.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with hardware troubleshooting, Windows OS, and various software applications.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and practices.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate are advantageous.
