Job Title: Matillion ETL Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Matillion ETL Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in data pipeline creation and management using Matillion. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of various source databases, proficient in SQL, and have a basic understanding of Python scripting. As a Matillion ETL Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining efficient data pipelines to facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading of data across different systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement scalable and efficient data pipelines using Matillion for ETL processes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design data integration solutions.
Utilize SQL for data querying, manipulation, and transformation tasks.
Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of the pipelines.
Optimize and troubleshoot existing data pipelines for performance improvements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data analysts, and business users to understand data requirements and deliver solutions accordingly.
Document technical specifications, processes, and workflows related to data pipelines.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in ETL and data integration.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3 to 5 years of experience working as a Matillion ETL Engineer or similar role.
Proficiency in designing and building data pipelines using Matillion.
Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and querying from various databases.
Basic understanding of Python scripting for automation tasks (added advantage).
Experience working with different source databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
