About The Role
The Industry Manager role sits within the Syndicated Research team, reporting to the respective Head of Vertical/Industry Research and working especially closely with other departments to envision and drive the future of the Passport Ingredients system.
The initial focus of this Insights Manager, Ingredients role is data transformation, working closely with the Innovation team to reimagine our Ingredients methodology, reviewing inputs and potential outputs.
This Insights Manager role requires research, commercial and leadership skills, including specific ingredients knowledge and talent for thought leadership to sharpen insights and rebuild our role and voice in the ING industry. This is a high-profile, client-facing leadership role, tasked with the commercial development of the ING system, from methodology review to broader client solutions and thought leadership strategy.
Some Of What You'll Be Doing
- Collaborating with Research, Catalyst, Data Science, Analytics and Passport teams to evaluate and realise data building solutions with a view to future-proofing the Ingredients offering
- Proactively building the knowledgebase through access of internal research, alternative inputs, external sources and through interactions with client facing teams and clients/industry bodies
- Building client research partnerships to the benefit of the wider research organization
- Delivering high quality, expert strategic content, actionable for an engaged client base and purposefully targeted to commercial and editorial needs
- Operateing from a client-first mentality and uses expertise to fulfil client needs. A research-mindful approach to client satisfaction
- Bringing industry and thematic expertise to help win and retain business, coordinating with global sales and account management teams on client needs and priorities, take collective view on new business and renewals.
- Maintaining profile and build public reputation to gain traction with industry and trade press to drive potential clients toward Euromonitor
What You'll Bring
- Expertise in Ingredients (this is essential)
- A high level of numeracy and analytical capabilities
- Solid experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods - knowledge of web-scraping, data science methods an asset
- Very strong analytic capabilities, able to identify and build evidence-based thought leadership that adds value to information solutions and meets the strategic needs of clients
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Solid commercial acumen, presentation, and client management skills
- Capacity to be a team player and work with diverse internal and external clients
- A demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and trust within and between functions, across the full syndicated research team and beyond, consulting research and sales
- Tenacity and keen attention to detail
- Strong time management skills and organisational ability
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to managing workloads and balancing research, analysis, and client interaction.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency and ability to present in languages other than English is an advantage
