As an Industrial Valves Regional Commodity Manager, you will ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality Machining, Fabrication, Assembly, Buyout, and C-class commodities to meet our organization's manufacturing needs.
As an Industrial Valves Regional Commodity Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans for machining, fabrication, assembly, Accessories, buyouts, and C-class commodities.
- Analyzing market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost optimization and innovation along with ensuring a robust supply chain for the organization.
- Defining, Leading and executing Mechanical commodity strategies in conjunction & strong alignment with Global Commodity & site leaders to meet procurement objectives/metrics &drive growth strategies in the region for IET Flow business requirements.
- Identifying/finalizing capable suppliers in Mechanical Commodity segments as per business needs.
- Performing robust & comprehensive supplier evaluation/assessments (techno commercial, QMS, regulatory, HSE, 5S, capability/capacity/financial risks) for new & existing suppliers.
- Leading/Managing RFQs,price & terms negotiations with Suppliers. Maintaining SAP attributes (price, pay terms, incoterms, lead times, MoQs etc) for proper assignment of source rules to enable purchasing actions.
- Analyzing spend landscape/industry & market landscape/supply base performance from time to time. Create / Manage / Optimize supplier panels & enhance regional supplier capabilities that will deliver best Cost/Quality/Fulfillment/Regional growth.
- Leading /driving contract finalization (Strategic supply agreements, VMI agreements, rebate/discount agreements, quarterly/half yearly/annual price agreements) to support business needs & objectives.
- Monitoring market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices and recommend improvements to optimize sourcing processes.
- Establishing & maintaining strong relationships & mutual cooperation/alignment with suppliers as well as business stakeholders (Plants, Engineering, Global commodity leaders, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Sales, Application Engineering, Product line, Project management etc) to drive forward business objectives & priorities.
- Collaborating with Engineering / global commodity & site leaders to drive cost optimization & lead time reduction ideas in Mechanical commodities to bring down the product cost & delivery lead times.
- Rendering delivery risk mitigation support to the Purchasing function through strategic & tactical measures/efforts.
- Leading/driving/executing supplier/new parts development & qualification efforts together with Supplier quality & Engineering teams.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or college.
- Have 8+ years of Industrial experience predominantly in Commodity Sourcing (Machining, Fabrication, Assembly, Accessories, Buyout & C-Class) with a proven performance track record.
- Have SAP knowledge.
- Have worked under global MNCs & in Matrix organization and liaised with multiple cross-functional stakeholders (global/regional)
- Have worked in leading Project-based industries/companies in Energy/O&G/Aerospace and executed Project Sourcing.
- Have working knowledge, experience & expertise in Mechanical Commodities like Machining, Fabrication, Assembly, Accessories, Buyout & C-Class commodities.
- Have good knowledge & hands-on work experience in Sourcing/Procure to Pay processes,Supplier evaluations & assessments, Contracting & Negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead & execute Sourcing / Supplier development projects and strategic initiatives.
- Have unwavering commitments to Integrity, Sourcing/Purchasing Compliance, Quality mindset, and HSE consciousness while executing day-to-day deliverables.
- Have technical aptitude, business & financial acumen,and cost assessment skills.
- Have supplier performance & relationship management skills.
