The Industrial E Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of IT products and solutions to industrial clients. This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions to meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical products and experience in B2C sales, particularly in industrial markets.
Sales Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial sector.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and procurement specialists.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Regularly visit and communicate with existing customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
Offer technical support and product training to customers as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional service.
Product Knowledge:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's products, including features, benefits, and applications.
Understand the competitive landscape and be able to position the company's products effectively.
- Provide customers with detailed information on product specifications, pricing, and availability.
Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including forecasts and activity logs.
Track sales performance against targets and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Collaborate with the internal team to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Market Research:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors.
Provide feedback to the product development and marketing teams regarding customer needs and market gaps.
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT products, services, and solutions (Ups & power backup solutions, IT infra projects etc.).
- Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, preferably in the IT sector.
Quarterly Sales Targets:
The Company usually sets a total sales target for the quarter (3 months). This target is then broken down into smaller, manageable goals to be tracked daily or weekly.Monthly Targets:
The number of customers an IT sales representative can handle end-to-end in a month depends on several factors, including the complexity of the product or service, the length of the sales cycle, and the individual's efficiency.Sales Skills: Strong Sales skill to present the products with full knowledge.
- Client Focus: Ability to understand client needs and offer solutions that meet those needs.
Goal-Oriented:
Self-motivated with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
