Position Summary: The Assistant Manager for Labour & Employee Relations is responsible for all welfare and industrial relations initiatives at the Hyderabad facility, working closely with the Labour & Employee Relations Manager. Key responsibilities include managing payroll, HR compliance, employee welfare programs, and ensuring adherence to local laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee payroll and personnel administration.
- Handle employee grievances related to salary, wages, leaves, and union matters.
- Manage group mediclaim and personal insurance.
- Lead the hiring and selection of hourly and contract employees.
- Administer local training programs and ensure organizational compliance.
- Manage canteen, creche, health centers, and employee welfare facilities.
- Conduct safety and canteen committee meetings, and implement continuous improvements.
- Ensure statutory compliance with labor and factory laws.
- Manage contract labor and facility management teams.
- Liaise with government officials for compliance and social security matters.
- Conduct training on topics like prevention of sexual harassment, safety, and ethics.
- Coordinate employee welfare activities and CSR initiatives.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Telugu and English.
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of HR principles and legal regulations.
- Ability to handle complex problems and make informed decisions.
- Strong project management and goal-setting skills.
- Ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
