Will work closely with the counsellors of assigned facilities.
Establish rapport with all positive clients identified at ICTC and navigate them to access ART treatment
Provide ART adherence and treatment support to identified positive clients.
Offer index testing options and elicit contacts from the identified HIV positive individual (index client), including spouse, children, sexual partners and needle sharing partners.
Sensitize index clients on the need and benefits of testing his contacts and available testing and treatment options.
Work with the index client to facilitate partner notification ensuring all confidentiality norms.
Facilitate testing of contacts as per their preferred testing option in collaboration with staff at testing facilities, including community-based screening.
Provide post-test counselling to newly identified HIV positives among contacts and navigate them to accesses ART treatment.
Record all information on index and contacts in the prescribed data collection formats.
Ensure reporting on index testing for the assigned facility as per timelines.
Responsible for ensuring data confidentiality as per the prescribed Government policy.
Follow-up of Index contacts in the field and offer Index Testing Services and counselling as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Master in Social Sciences with at least 5 years work experience in working with HIV programs in the past.
Experience in working with Key Population, PLHIV Groups will be preferred.
Excellent ability in using MS Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication, liaison and negotiation skills
Self-motivated, with a strong ability and drive to lead project activities independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel for appx 20 days a month. (Travel and logistic support will be provided under project)
