WHAT WILL YOU DO
As a Data Scientist / AI Engineer at Pelago, you will contribute to our exciting projects in the following ways:
- Build and improve our LLM-powered travel assistant to solve pre and post-booking customer enquiries
- Build the travel itinerary product using LLMs
- Optimise each aspect of the travel assistant including prompt tuning, building new workflows, RAG optimisation, function calling, response parsing
- Evaluate various publicly available LLMs for our use cases and perform a cost-benefit estimation
- Work closely with the rest of the Engineering and Product team to collaborate on new features
- Utilize skills in vector databases such as Elasticsearch to enhance our data handling and search capabilities.
WHAT EXPERTISE YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Bachelor's/ Master's/ PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 4+ years of relevant experience building and deploying machine learning models, including some experience in building chatbots and/or application of LLMs
- Experience with RAG, function calling, Langchain, RAG evaluation frameworks, etc.
- Prior experience with machine learning problems related to Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- High level of proficiency in Python and able to produce production-ready code
- Strong foundations with basic machine learning algorithms - linear regression, decision trees, ensemble models
- Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch
- Ability to query data from relational and non-relational databases using SQL
- Experience in one of the cloud services (AWS, GCP or Azure)
- Strong communication skills to make complex ML/AI concepts understandable to different streams in the team
