Job Title: Import/Export Associate
Location: Ahmedabad

Job Overview:
The Import/Export Associate is responsible for managing and facilitating the import and export processes for the company. This includes ensuring compliance with international regulations, coordinating shipments, handling documentation, and providing support to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation and Compliance:
- Prepare and process import and export documentation according to customs regulations, laws, or procedures.
- Ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking and reporting.
Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods.
- Communicate with customs authorities to resolve any issues related to shipments.
- Provide regular updates to relevant departments on shipment status.
Logistics and Shipping:
- Arrange transportation and warehousing for imported and exported goods.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage relationships with logistics providers and negotiate rates.
Problem-Solving:
- Address and resolve any issues related to import/export operations, such as delays, damages, or compliance concerns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on import/export activities.
- Analyze data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvements in the supply chain process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in import/export operations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Certification in international trade (e.g., Certified Export Specialist).
- Proficiency in a second language.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment with occasional travel to warehouses, ports, or client locations.
- May require working outside of regular business hours to coordinate with international partners.
