Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Import-Export Executive to join our team at Pioma Chemicals. The Import Executive will be responsible for overseeing the import &Export process, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Import-Export procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Identify and assess potential international suppliers to expand our supplier base.
- Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and favourable terms.
Collaborate with suppliers for order confirmation, Proforma, Payments and delivery schedules.- Utilize inventory, sales forecasts, and other information for accurate purchase planning.
Maintain strong vendor relationships for timely delivery of products.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and feedback loops between our team and suppliers to address any quality issues promptly.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of import & export documentation.- Monitor inventory levels and reconcile discrepancies.
Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to streamline imports & exports.
- Negotiate with shipping lines for the pricing to get best rates & delivery timelines.
Proactively manage shipment schedules and resolve logistical challenges.- Verify compliance with import & export regulations and assist with customs clearance.
Implement strategies to minimize stockouts.
- Analyse import data using Exim software and provide reports to management.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, international business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Import/Export operations.
Strong knowledge of import-export procedures, customs regulations, and international trade practices.- Proficiency in import-export documentation and customs clearance processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Import/Export management software.- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management tools is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
