The Global Mobility Team is the ultimate cross-functional team. Every day we work with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure we are able to bring the best talent into different locations. We also liaise with our immigration, tax and relocation vendor to ensure they are meeting their SLAs and that each case is handled with the care and consistency in line with our policies. We focus on guiding JLL employees as they navigate moving themselves and their families across borders in the most efficient and compliant way.
About The Role
Reporting to the Director, Global Mobility, this role manages the administration of global immigration matters for new hires and existing employees. Works in close partnership with the global mobility team and mobility providers in the development, implementation, and execution of our immigration policies.
What You'll Do
- Provide immigration support to employees, consultation to managers, and case management in connection with external immigration vendor.
- Work closely with HR teams in EMEA, APAC, and AMER to effectively coordinate all aspects of employment sponsored immigration applications.
- Run regular reports from our internal HRIS system to track visa expiration dates across all global regions.
- Manage end to end immigration process for global new hires and visa renewals.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employees regarding all immigration renewal matters, proactively communicate updates with internal stakeholders, and resolve issues in a timely and sensitive manner.
- Coordinate with our external vendor to initiate new immigration cases as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance for leavers so that our external vendor can report cancellations to authorities.
- Ensures any exceptions to the global immigration policy can be looked at and reviewed.
- Monitor our email and ticketing system and triage incoming queries.
- Review and audit immigration compliance documents.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned including special projects and other Global Mobility administrative responsibilities.
What You'll Need
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience,
- At least 2+ years of global immigration work experience, ideally in-house or consultancy
- Knowledge of US immigration processes and matters is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Project management knowledge
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint would be an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a team player mindset
- Fluent written and verbal English
