Job Purpose
Responsible to ensure efficient use of the Marine assets and manpower by planning, scheduling, and recording all IMI marine activities based on data received from BD business plan, and different productions zones.
Key Accountabilities And Working Relationship
- Coordinate and maintaining proper communication with IMI BD, Commercial, Client representative, IMI different Production zones and different internal and external stakeholders, to obtain accurate information about the below; but not limited to:
- The ETA/ETD of ships, rigs, and another marine unit calling IMI yard.
- The completion targets of building or MRO projects (vessels, rigs or other) that will need the use of IMI Marine Assets (Docks, Ship lift, Berths, Anchorageetc.).
- Asset Management Maintenance plan and call Imi Yars or being built within IMI yard sponsible for the planning and scheduling, coming for docking (drydock, floating dock, and ship lift), berthing, and movements.
- Continuously update the data received from various parts.
- According to the information received, prepare a plan/schedule for the use of the marine Assets by the different stakeholders.
- On a daily basis, attend different meeting with different Marine Operations departments including VTS and YCC to ensure efficient assignment of the Marine Assets and manpower and avoid any conflict or marine traffic incident.
- Prepare and update a Marine Operations comprehensive dashboard.
- Share said dashboard on a weekly basis to the different concerned parties and whenever needed IMI Sr. management.
- On a weekly basis, share a drawing showing the exact position of the different vessels and rigs within the yard.
- Keeping up-to-date logs of marine movements, weather conditions, and any other data needed to issue the dashboard.
- Contribute to the review, update and implementation of Marine Operation procedures, processes, check lists and other operational documents.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, regulations, quality, security, environmental, and safety standards and regulations related to his job.
- Work within 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain workplace to a high standard.
Who We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or equivalent.
- Professional Port Management diploma.
- Project management Professional (PMP).
- Good knowledge the maritime Fire and Safety standards including IMO regulations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of a multicultural team.
- Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office.
- Negotiation skills.
- Presentation skills.
- At least 9-15 years of relevant experience in marine field.
- Having extensive experience managing and planning Port's or shipyard's Marine assets.
- Excellent English communication Skills (verbal and writing).
- Arabic is preferable.
