Job Purpose / Objective
The main purpose of the job Division Head, Security Operation Support, is to oversee and manage the security operations within a division or department. This includes developing and implementing security protocols, coordinating security activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and providing support to the security team. The division head is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and assets, and for assessing and mitigating security risks. Moreover, collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure effective security measures are in place.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and implement strategies, initiatives planning to enhance security operations support in alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of security professionals to ensure high performance, professional development, and operational effectiveness.
- Optimize to manage the resources allocation, including budget, staffing, and technology, to support security operations and meet established objectives.
- Oversee the development and implementation of incident response procedures to effectively address security incidents and minimize impact on the organization.
- Identify security risks management, conduct risk assessments, and develop risk mitigation strategies to protect the organization's assets and information.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security operations, such as HCIS and related government sectors.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage security technologies integration and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.
- Manage relationships with security vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and solutions that meet the organization's requirements.
- Develop and deliver security awareness programs and training initiatives to educate employees on security best practices and promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the performance of security operations support activities and drive continuous improvement.
- Improving and monitoring the availability and readiness of security operations records, including incident reports, headcount planning, security post plant, procedures, guidelines, security plans, and workforce master lists.
- Develop and maintain emergency preparedness response plans and procedures to ensure readiness to respond to security incidents, disasters, or other emergencies.
- Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior management on the status of security operations support activities, including key metrics, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree of Engineering or related Business and Management degree.
Professional Qualifications :
Certificate Security Training Related Ship, ports, and Industrial Security.
- Certificate related PMP- Project Management Professional.
- Certificate related risks management.
- Certificate related Experience.
Languages:Excellent Communication Skills in English (oral & written)
Competencies
- Ability to oversee & manage security operations effectively, including understanding security protocols, procedures, and technologies. This involves knowledge of security best practices, risk management, incident response, and Security Operations Center (SOC) functions.
- Strong leadership skills are essential to lead and motivate the team. This includes the ability to set goals, delegate tasks, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment. Effective communication and conflict resolution skills are also crucial.
- Capability to handle Strategic Planning and Decision-Making and develop strategic plans for the security operations support division, aligning with the organization's overall security objectives.
- Solid understanding of security technologies, tools, and systems is important. This includes knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, firewalls, endpoint security solutions.
- Being able to respond to security incidents effectively, including identifying and containing security breaches, investigating incidents, and coordinating with stakeholders for resolution. Crisis management skills are crucial for handling high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security operations compliance with standards organizational management principles and related government sectors. Implementing controls to mitigate risks.
Experience
at least 12-15 years of relevant experience.
