Engineer, Process II, I,
This job role is to ensure Execute Piping & Process Engineering activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study, Detail Design).
Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships
The
Engineer,Process II, I who will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Preparation of design deliverables with consideration for applicable codes & standards.
- Inter disciplinary checks & discipline co-ordination.
- Assist Designers for the preparation & review of plot plans, Equipment layouts and Piping & Support layouts.
- Design calculations and Piping Stress Analysis.
- Preparation of Design basis, Project specific specifications for projects involving Basic / Detail engineering, Feasibility studies and Tender document.
- Material Engineering which includes preparation of Purchase specifications, Purchase requisitions, technical bid analysis and Vendor document / drawing evaluation.
- Construction engineering activities including MTOs, shop drawings and job package preparation & issue.
- Site survey for jobs & bids.
- Co-ordination with Internal Departments, Clients & Inspection Agencies.
- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents on the project.
- Capture all changes / modifications in the deliverables that have been intimated by project, prior to release of deliverable.
- Attending project review meetings.
- Ensure Compliance to HSES policies and procedures as applicable.
- Ensure Compliance with all applicable information security policies & procedures.
Working Relationships:
Internal Interactions:
- Internal Engineering Department, other business work-streams within the company, Division Heads, Engineering Manager, GM Engineering, VP Engineering.
External Interactions:
- Software Suppliers, Subcontractors, Consultants, Inspection Agencies.
Who we are looking for
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience:
- 3-9 years in any engineering company as system administrator or CADD Application specialist on engineering software system. Preference will be given for those had worked in ship and rig building yard, major construction yard, EPC contractor and/or Consultant Company using AVEVA 3D modelling software.
Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
- Preferred Any additional certification / courses in mechanical engineering.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- Extensive knowledge and experience in Design & Engineering software used for Shipbuilding & Rig building like AVEVA Hull Design, AVEVA Engineering, AutoCAD.
- Knowledge in ERP systems & Plant systems and its interfacing with CADD systems.
- Excellent communications skills: interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
- Demonstrated high order interpersonal skills and the ability to operate within a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate others with regards to continuous improvement.
