Job Description: We are seeking an experienced IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and Tomcat Specialist to manage and maintain our application server environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting applications on IBM WAS and Apache Tomcat, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and Apache Tomcat in a production environment.
- Deploy and troubleshoot applications on WebSphere and Tomcat, optimizing server performance and availability.
- Manage server clustering, load balancing, and failover settings to ensure system reliability.
- Perform routine maintenance, including patch management, upgrades, and security configurations.
- Monitor server performance, identify potential issues, and implement solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with development and support teams to resolve technical issues.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-6 years of hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and Apache Tomcat.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of application server management, configuration, and deployment.
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation and server management.
- Familiarity with load balancing, clustering, and failover in WAS and Tomcat.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with technical and non-technical teams.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
