Job DescriptionRequired Information Details
Location of Requirement

. Installing IBM SP server fix packs.
. Install and configure IBM SP monitoring and reporting feature.
. Planning and configuring IBM SP Database, Active log, Active Log Mirror, Archive log and Failover archive log for IBM SP instances.
. Very Good Knowledge on VMWARE backup using TDP VMWARE, TDP Oracle, TDP SQL
. Configuring IBM SP Library manager, IBM SP library client instances and setting up server to server communication.
. Configuring and sharing the tape libraries IBM TS3500 and IBM 3494 across IBM SP Library manager and IBM SP library client instances.
. Defining Random access disk storage pools, sequential access disk storage pools, sequential access tape pools for IBM SP Primary storage pools and IBM SP copy storage pools.
. Configuration of IBM SP server components like domain, policy set, mgmt class, copy groups and Define backup/archive policies to keep the number of versions of client Files.
. Configuring IBM SP administrative features like Migration, Backup storage pool, IBM SP Database backup, Expire inventory and reclamation and move data.
. Work with IBM SP backup sets/export-import process to create/restore long term tapes.
. Install IBM SP client software on windows, Red Hat Linux operating systems and configure dsm.opt, Client scheduler service on the client nodes.
. Using Backup archive client to do backup/archive and complete any client restores.
. Handling day-to-day IBM SP activities like IBM SP Client scheduling, IBM SP admin schedules, monitoring of database, log, storage pools and offsite volumes, Identify and troubleshoot any IBM SP server, IBM SP Client backup, restore, scheduler and performance related issues.
. Design, Implement IBM SP Disaster Recovery feature and work with DRM plan files, IBM SP database restore, Storage pool restore etc and completing client data restores at DR Site.
. Writing IBM SP SQL queries, IBM SP admin scripts and IBM SP macros.
. Manage IBM SP licensing.
. Work with Vendor to open service tickets to troubleshoot any issues with hardware and IBM SP software.
. Document the standards and procedures for installing and configuring IBM SP servers, IBM SP Clients and DRM process as required.
. Certification:-
. IBM Certified Administrator - Tivoli Storage Manager V6 and above
