Job Description

Everest Carbon is commercializing breakthrough proprietary measurement technology to validate carbon dioxide removal (CDR) through enhanced weathering (EW). Are you looking for a role that has a big positive impact on the planet Join us in putting carbon back where it belongs!

We're VC-backed, generating revenues, and are fully committed to unlocking the first gigaton of permanent CDR through EW until 2035.

We seek an intern who will help to advance our understanding of our technology by developing a comprehensive soil hydrological model.

Tasks

  • Collaborate with our CTO & Head of Soil Science to understand project goals, constraints, and key variables.
  • Work closely with our geochemical modeling intern and assist in formulating and implementing hydrological models that simulate the complex processes of our technology in soil.
  • Support in conceptualization and design of experiments.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Hydrology, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Big Plus: Experience with relevant software tools for modeling (e.g., Hydrus, Rosetta) and programming languages.
  • Big Plus: Experience with fluid flow, fluid dynamics, and hydrological modeling in natural systems.
  • Experience with experimental design and execution.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week (negotiable).
