Key Responsibilities:
1. HVAC System Design:
Collaborate with clients, architects, and project teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Design HVAC systems, including equipment selection, ductwork layout, piping, and controls, to meet heating and cooling needs while optimizing energy efficiency.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for HVAC systems.
1) Heat Load Calculations for AC and heating
2) Ventilation Calculations & Duct Sizing
3) Capacity Calculations and Selection of HVAC Equipment, Chiller, Pumps, AHU, FCU, VRF , Ventilation Fans, etc.
4) Space Planning of AHU, Fans, HVAC Plant Room, etc.
5) Piping Sizing (for Chilled Water, Hot Water, Condenser Water, Refrigerant Piping, VRF Piping, etc.)
6) Preparation of Preliminary /Conceptual Scheme of the Mechanical System
7) Sound Knowledge in HVAC Ducting design with a thorough knowledge of Ducting Installation Standards.
8) Piping Design Skills especially with Chilled Water / DX Systems along with a thorough knowledge of Piping Installation Standard
9) Prepare Chilled Water & Hot Water Schematics and Detail Design
2. Code Compliance:
Ensure that HVAC designs comply with local, state, and national building codes, as well as industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated on code changes and industry best practices related to HVAC design.
3. Technical Support:
Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
Address design-related inquiries and assist in problem-solving during construction.
4. Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of HVAC design files, calculations, and specifications.
Ensure that design documentation is clear, organized, and readily accessible for construction teams.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC system design and engineering.
Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, equipment, and systems.
Familiarity with local and national HVAC codes and regulations
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Detail-oriented and organized approach to work.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar tools.
