Job Description

Vandey provides outsourced instructional services to institutions of higher education and is seeking a candidate to work for Vandey to serve in a full-time role as a HR Lead for the University of the People.

REPORTS TO: The HR Lead will report to the Associate HR Director

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The responsibilities of the recruiter will include identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and social media, conducting interviews and onboarding. Organize and coordinate. Track and maintain all employee data, also help maintain positive employee relations and work to ensure worker satisfaction through education of HR policies and by fostering a positive work environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, first interviews, knowledge tests, etc.
  • Collaborate with headhunters to hire and retain the top best talent.
  • Assess candidates skills, experience, and relevant knowledge and compare them to job requirements.
  • Assist Hiring Managers to conduct interviews.
  • Collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements.
  • Schedule meetings, interviews via calls/MS Teams/Zoom/GMeet / conduct on-site interviews, HR events, etc. and maintain the teams agenda.
  • Be active with online job boards, social media networks and platforms to find qualified candidates for open positions.
  • Perform orientations, onboarding, and update records with new hires
  • Manage the overall interview, selection, and closing process
  • Serve as a bridge with work organizations, affiliations and agencies.
  • Conduct post-employment surveys once candidates join the organization.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Support other functions as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS/any degree

  • 3 years experience with recruitment, at least 1 year with high demand positions recruitment
  • 3 years experience with Human Resources departments
  • Experience from the global organization a big advantage
  • Fluent English must!
  • Strong understanding of HR functions, methods, strategies, procedures, and policies.
  • Familiar with sourcing techniques.
  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check, etc.)
  • Experience in an academic environment an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
  • Proficiency of MS Office, database management/ record-keeping skills, and internet search.
  • Good on time management skills
