Summary of the Role:
As an HR Intern at Athena, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR department's day-to-day activities, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, and operational support. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in human resources while contributing to the smooth functioning of our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
- Assist with sourcing and screening candidates for various roles across the organization.
- Post job openings on relevant job boards and social media platforms.
- Schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and manage the recruitment process.
- Assist in updating and maintaining the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Coordinate feedback from interviewers and ensure candidates receive timely communication.
Onboarding Support:
- Support the onboarding process by preparing documentation and coordinating with new hires for necessary paperwork.
- Assist with new hire orientation and ensure a smooth transition into the organization.
- Ensure that onboarding checklists are completed, and employee records are properly maintained.
- Collaborate with different departments to help new hires settle into their roles effectively.
HR Operations:
- Help maintain and update employee records and databases.
- Assist in managing HR documentation, including contracts, offer letters, and performance reviews.
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team in daily operations.
- Assist in organizing HR events, team-building activities, and employee engagement programs.
- Support compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Process Improvement:
- Identify areas of improvement in HR processes and provide recommendations.
- Assist in implementing new tools and systems to streamline HR operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
