Type: Full-Time

Duration: Flexible, with potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance.

Compensation: Our starting salaries for interns are matched to the level of developing countries. After 3 months, there is an opportunity for re-negotiation and stock options are available.

Yurica Ovaerenu, the CEO of Adler, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey at the age of 16 while attending Seoul Science High School (SSHS), a highly selective high school for gifted students. She chose to drop out of Seoul National University (SNU), the top-ranked university in Korea. At the age of 27, she became a serial entrepreneur who underwent a gender transition at 26. Inspired by her extensive experience playing 3D games like Overwatch and Mabinogi before her transition, she envisioned creating a virtual reality where individuals can truly be themselves. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing our innovative 3D content creation platform, including our proprietary XRML language and engine. Responsibilities span both front-end and back-end development, requiring a deep understanding of complex system architecture and the ability to mentor junior developers. The Senior Software Engineer will also be instrumental in breaking down complex tasks and pushing the boundaries of our technological capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting by creating job descriptions, managing job postings, and coordinating interview schedules.
  • Assist in the hiring process to ensure the acquisition of top talent.
  • Design and implement HR assessment and recruiting processes, applying recent HR theories.
  • Actively identify and reach out to top talent and industry leaders to build relationships and attract potential advisors.
  • Facilitate effective onboarding for new team members to ensure a smooth integration.
  • Assist in establishing and operating performance appraisal systems.
  • Contribute to HR Development (HRD) initiatives and help foster a positive and strong company culture.
  • Plan and execute welfare policies, including events and holiday gifts, to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
  • Monitor and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction through regular feedback and surveys.
  • Manage employment documents, including contracts and NDAs.
  • Track attendance, verify work logs, and manage incident reports.
  • Manage accounts for various tools and platforms (e.g., Google, Slack, Notion, JIRA, AWS).
  • Share morning meeting summaries and review and implement team member nicknames.
  • Assist with benefits administration and termination processes.
  • Assist in managing team health and recommending vacations.
  • Promote and support a creative working culture, leveraging our full-remote setup and diverse, international team.
  • Facilitate virtual meetings and foster engagement in virtual reality environments as we expand our VR initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (degree not mandatory if candidate has relevant practical experience and skills).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Passion for fostering a positive and productive company culture.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Aggressive and proactive mindset in contacting and building relationships with top talent and industry leaders.
  • Practical experience, skills, and a genuine passion for HR and company culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HR management systems and tools.
  • Familiarity with recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in planning and executing HR-related events and initiatives.
  • Understanding of HR Development (HRD) and company culture enhancement strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and tools efficiently (e.g., Google, Slack, Notion, JIRA, AWS).
  • Interest in virtual reality and its application in fostering remote work and team engagement.
  • Knowledge of the culture and HR practices of Silicon Valley's most successful companies.
