Job Summary:
ABU CONSTRUCTION is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Associate to support our HR department. The ideal candidate will assist in various HR functions, including onboarding, compliance, and employee relations, with a focus on managing contract labor. The HR Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws in India, particularly in Maharashtra, and providing excellent support to our employees and management. Proficiency in Excel is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Prepare and maintain new hire documentation and employee records.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with local and state labor laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
- Assist in conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with labor regulations.
Employee Relations:
- Provide support to employees regarding HR-related queries and concerns.
- Assist in resolving employee grievances and disputes in a fair and consistent manner.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
Contract Labor Management:
- Support the management of contract labor.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements for contract labor.
- Assist in the onboarding and orientation process for contract laborers.
HR Administration:
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits and compensation programs.
- Maintain HR metrics and prepare reports on HR activities and trends using Excel.
- Support the performance management process, including performance reviews and development plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably in a construction or contract labor environment.
- Knowledge of local and state labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
