Who and what are we looking for

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment and talent management, and will be responsible for developing and managing the HR function in a fast-growing environment. The HR Project Manager will be responsible for recruiting people in India with different seniority, ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws, coordinating project KPIs, and implementing HR policies and procedures that promote a positive and productive work environment.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company's goals and objectives.
  • Implement and maintain HR systems and processes that support efficient and effective HR operations. It includes, but is not limited to developing Travel and Reimbursement forms,
  • Attendance and Leave calendars, and setting up grievance redressal mechanisms.
  • Manage recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates in India and with different seniority.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement talent management and career development programs that promote employee engagement and retention, as well as coordination of project KPIs.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement compensation and benefits programs that are competitive and aligned with the company's values and culture.
  • Coordinate/facilitate the payroll portion of the HRIS for payment and compliance.
  • Create job descriptions for new roles and refine existing job descriptions as needed in consultation with technical experts
  • Make sure our processes are lean and employee-friendly in a strongly expanding organisation.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR issues.
  • Ensure that HR documentation is up to date, accurate, and compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Will be responsible for effective data management, record keeping and coordination with EPFO, PF Department, and Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) or any other insurance.
  • Lead our new hires' onboarding program.
  • Drive initiatives that have a positive impact on our work culture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Khasi and Jaintia language is desirable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR management in India, preferably in a fast-growing environment.
  • Good knowledge of the labour law and regulations in India.
  • Proactive and pragmatic problem solver with well-developed people skills.
  • Experience in developing, executing and implementing HR strategies.
  • Comfortable with a fast-changing work environment due to company growth.
  • Strong people development skills, open to feedback and embrace growth opportunities.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team, as well as independently, with colleagues based in different locations and time zones around the globe.
  • Excellent project and time management skills that utilise digital management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful or complex situations.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working internationally in varied cultures and countries.
  • Experience building HR functions from scratch.
  • Experience working with virtual teams in fast growing companies.
  • Experience working with HR softwares (Automated Systems)
