Associate/Senior Associate : HR Operations

Summary of the role:

We are seeking a talented and experienced writer to join us as the Chief Editor to lead our team of writers in crafting compelling and authentic application essays for our students.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in mentoring and managing the writing team, as well as reviewing and finalizing essays for submission. This position requires exceptional writing skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for helping students articulate their goals and experiences effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations Management:

  • Oversee and manage day-to-day HR operations.
  • Implement and maintain HRMS platforms for efficient HR processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits, and other HR transactions.
  • Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

HRMS and Analytics:

  • Manage and optimize HRMS platforms to support HR operations.
  • Utilize HR analytics to provide insights and support decision-making.
  • Monitor and report on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, engagement, and performance.
  • Identify trends and areas for improvement in HR processes and systems.

Coordination with Finance:

  • Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Coordinate with finance on budget planning and management for HR-related expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to HR activities.

Compliance and Audits:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement and monitor compliance programs and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure the company remains compliant.

Employee Relations and Support:

  • Provide support and guidance to employees on HR-related matters.
  • Handle employee inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and refine HR processes and workflows.
  • Optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality outcomes.
  • Implement new tools or strategies to enhance effectiveness.

Industry Research:

  • Stay abreast of trends in HR management, HRMS, and HR analytics.
  • Leverage insights to inform HR strategies and approaches.
  • Ensure HR services remain relevant and competitive in the higher education landscape.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in HR operations, with exposure to HRMS platforms and HR analytics.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, payroll, benefits, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in coordinating with finance departments on HR-related matters.
  • Exceptional organizational and management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
