The Recruitment Consultant will play a crucial role in attracting, selecting, and onboarding top talent for various academic and administrative positions within the university.
This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of the higher education landscape.
The successful candidate will work closely with department heads, faculty, and staff to ensure a seamless recruitment process and the timely fulfillment of hiring needs.
Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for academic, administrative, and support roles.
- Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking events, and university career fairs, to identify and engage potential candidates.
Screening and Interviewing:
Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and assessments to ensure a strong fit with the university's culture and requirements.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner with department heads and hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide expert guidance on recruitment best practices.Job Posting and Advertising: Create compelling job descriptions and post job openings on relevant platforms to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding.
Data Management:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the university's applicant tracking system (ATS).Compliance:
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with university policies, as well as federal and state regulations.Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in recruitment, within the higher education sector
Strong knowledge of UGC requirements for Academic Positions esp. Dean, Chancellors / Vice-chancellors, Professors for a university.- Should be able to coordinate with vendors, external interview panels, candidates & management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Note: MBA degree preferred.
