Overview
The HR Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the human resources operations and strategies within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of HR activities and aligning them with the company's objectives, while also fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, including conducting interviews
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues
- Oversee and manage performance appraisal processes
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
- Manage organizational changes and provide guidance to employees
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
- Empower the leadership team with human resources strategy and guidance
- Manage the budget and financial plans of the HR department
- Ensure efficiency through the oversight of employee benefit programs
- Conduct periodic assessments to ensure a high-performing workforce
- Resolve complex employee relations issues and address grievances
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven work experience as an HR manager or other HR executive
- Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Understanding of HR systems, databases, and software
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) certification is a plus
- Proven track record of leading and developing HR team members
- Experience in organizational development and change management
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office suite
