Roles and responsibilities of a Change Management Manager :
Level - Manager
The Change Management Manager will:
1. Develop, manage and implement specific change management strategies and plans using the
CM methodology to support assigned corporate initiatives.
2. Define program change objectives and approach.
3. Plan and deliver change impact assessment workshops.
4. Stakeholder identification, engagement, comms, and metrics.
5. Identify change management and project issues as they arise; prepare recommendations to
address the issue in a timely manner and implement as appropriate.
6. Owns the change plan and execution. Consult with various stakeholders to identify
communication needs and gather relevant content for the various communications.
7. Develop an effective communication plan.
8. Prepare creative, engaging, communications to build awareness of initiatives across the
organization and support major change initiatives.
9. Support development of consistent branding and marketing efforts for large-scale change
projects.
10. Develop, manage and implement specific training strategies and plans using the CMO
methodologies to support the initiative.
11. Using the CMO change management methodologies assess, design, develop, deliver and
evaluate training and education needs.
12. Design, develop, deliver, coordinate and evaluate the implementation of training as
appropriate to support the specific change initiative.
Skills and qualifications of a change manager:
1. A good understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
2. 5-8 years of relevant experience in organizational change management.
3. Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Excellent active listening skills.
6. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
7. Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
8. Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
9. Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
10. Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
11. Forward looking with a holistic approach.
12. Problem solving and root-cause identification skills.
13. Able to work effectively at all levels of an organization.
14. Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others.
15. Change management certification or designation desired.
