IT Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)
Job Description:
As an IT HR Business Partner, you will align IT department objectives with the overall business goals of the organization. Acting as a strategic consultant to IT leaders, you will provide expertise in HR strategies, policies, and practices to support the attraction, development, and retention of top IT talent. This role requires a deep understanding of HR principles and the unique needs of the IT function within an organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Strategic HR Partnering:
- Collaborate with IT leaders to develop HR strategies that support departmental goals.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and workforce planning.
- Advise IT leaders on employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
2. Talent Acquisition and Retention
- Partner with IT recruiting teams to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and implement recruitment strategies.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure a strong pipeline of IT talent.
- Implement retention strategies to promote employee engagement and reduce turnover.
3. Employee Relations and Performance Management:
- Advise IT managers on employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Support IT managers in performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback.
- Analyze HR metrics to identify opportunities for improving employee performance and engagement.
4. HR Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with HR laws, regulations, and company policies within the IT department.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures specific to the IT function.
- Provide training on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
5. Change Management and Organizational Development:
- Facilitate organizational change initiatives, such as reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions.
- Support IT leaders in developing change management plans to minimize disruption and maximize engagement.
- Identify opportunities for organizational development and continuous improvement within the IT function.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with a focus on IT departments or technology companies.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consulting skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business objectives into HR initiatives.
- Experience with HRIS systems and HR analytics preferred.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR) is a plus
