Job Description

The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the HR department, ensuring the efficient operation of HR processes. This role involves assisting with recruitment, onboarding, record keeping, and employee relations. The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining organized and up-to-date HR records and supporting various HR initiatives.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling correspondence.
Assist with the preparation of HR documents, such as offer letters, employment contracts, and other related paperwork.
Recruitment Support: Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
Support the onboarding process by preparing new hire packets and ensuring all required documentation is completed.
Employee Records & Data Management: Maintain and update employee records and HR databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the management of HR filing systems, both physical and digital, to ensure they are well-organized and up-to-date.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
  • Support payroll processing by gathering and inputting necessary data.
Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries.
  • Employee Relations:
Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding basic HR-related inquiries.
  • Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities, events, and programs.
Compliance & Policy Adherence:
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and regulations.
Assist in the communication and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.
Training & Development Support: Assist in coordinating training sessions and workshops, including logistics and communication with participants.
  • Support the development and distribution of training materials.
HR Projects:
  • Participate in HR projects, such as employee satisfaction surveys, HR audits, and diversity initiatives.
Assist in the preparation of HR reports, presentations, and metrics.
  • Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in an administrative role, preferably in Human Resources.
Familiarity with HR software (HRIS, ATS) and MS Office.
  • Basic knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
HR certification or coursework (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Working Conditions:
Full-time position with standard office hours.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
