Company Description:

The Indian Ethnic Co. is a Mumbai-based company that aims to showcase and make accessible the rich collection of Indian handloom and handicrafts with a contemporary twist. Co-founded by Hetal Desai (Chief Creative Designer) and Lekhinee Desai (Sales & Marketing), the brand seeks to bring the timeless culture of handmade Indian clothing to the forefront.

Job Responsibilities:

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of HR functions to support our rapidly growing business.

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selecting top talent.
  • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive work culture by fostering open communication and addressing employee concerns.

HR Policies and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices and legal requirements and recommend improvements as needed.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops on various topics.

Performance Management:

  • Implement performance management systems to monitor employee performance and provide feedback and training.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and goal-setting processes to support employee growth and development.

Employee Benefits and Compensation:

  • Administer and employee benefits programs.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an HR or similar role in the e-commerce or fashion industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Experience in the fashion industry is a plus
