About the role
We are seeking an HR and Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of personnel-related and administrative tasks. In this role, you will support the Talent department by assisting in hiring, on-boarding, updating the HR database, and processing employee requests. Also, the job involves handling administrative tasks of carbon team, India. Your organizational skills and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially will be crucial. If you're passionate about HR policies and procedures and want to contribute to creating a positive workplace, this position is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in hiring and on-boarding activities which includes explaining company policies and procedures, sharing onboarding packages and tracking the completion of it.
Assist and prepare paperwork related to HR policies and procedures.
Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and capacity building sessions.
Maintain files, records, and office inventory. Also, ensure procurement of office supplies on need basis.
Coordinate and facilitate travel arrangements for staff and external auditors liaising with UpEnergy country offices and or with external travel agencies, which includes Visa processing, Hotel and Flight reservations.
Support Director of Carbon Programme and managers with the administrative duties liaising with different departments of UpEnergy and or external stakeholders.
Ensure employee welfare and workplace environment is maintained in- line with UpEnergy policy.
Must Have Requirements and Skills
Minimum bachelor's degree in human resources or related degree with specialization in HR.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as an HR or administrative role.
Proficient with MS Office applications.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong teamwork skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to work in a decentralized, global team with minimum supervision.
Nice to Have
Knowledge and understanding of carbon emission reduction projects would be an added advantage.
Experience in handling HR software/ CRM and any other office productivity suits.
Knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulations.

The HR & Administrative Assistant will receive a competitive salary and bonus.
Start date & Location
The position is based in Chennai, India. We are looking for the right candidate to start as soon as possible, but we are flexible.
