The Shift Coordinator provides accurate and timely rosters to Care I Wish employees by restoring according to staff availability to ensure specific shift and client service needs are met.
- Key responsibilities of this role:
Ensure shifts are filled in a timely manner and in such a way as to ensure minimum disruption to client supports- Continually refine and innovate restoring methods to enhance staff productivity.
Audit time sheets fortnightly for payroll processing
- Advise and support Team Leaders(TL)/Service Delivery Managers (SDM) in the population and maintenance of rosters
Set up and manage ongoing rosters for all employees and ensure that shifts are filled in a timely manner.- Process annual leave and availability requests in consultation with TLs/SDMs
Ensure hours worked by employees are monitored to ensure employees are working within SCHADS Awards
- Ensure shift allocations comply with contract requirements, minimum training/credentialing requirements and client preferences
Coordinate rostering of new employees to ensure that they undertake on-site induction training and shadow shifts.- Respond to and appropriately manage employee queries regarding their rosters
Work with the HR Manager to ensure all employees have the appropriate and valid role requirement documents (First Aid Certificate, National Police Check, WWCC, NDIS Workers Screening Check etc)
- To succeed in this role you will have:
Experience and/or understanding of rostering (essential)
- Ability to interpret the SCHADS award and any other relevant legislations (highly regarded) - Training can be provided as long as they have worked with a similar award and can learn it.
Intermediate skills in the use of Client Information Management Systems such as CareLink (highly regarded)- Flexibility to work between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm Melbourne Time
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment and self-manage workloads to meet competing deadlines
