  • Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor at Soulflower is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall upkeep of the premises, including offices, common areas, and external spaces. The role involves managing a team of housekeeping staff, coordinating daily activities, maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Key Responsibilities:
Supervision:
  • Lead and supervise the housekeeping team, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Assign duties and responsibilities to housekeeping staff on a daily basis.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
Take care of all the animals, trees and plants in the premises.
  • Training and Development:
Train new housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to enhance the skills and efficiency of the housekeeping team.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
  • Monitor the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Order and replenish supplies as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Manage and control the usage of cleaning materials to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Ensure that all housekeeping activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Operations Manager.
  • Implement safety protocols to protect staff and visitors from potential hazards.
Quality Control:
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all areas meet the company's cleanliness and presentation standards.
Address any housekeeping-related complaints or issues from staff or visitors promptly and effectively.
Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, inventory, and staff schedules.
  • Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping performance, issues, and needs to the Operations Manager.
Team Coordination:
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of any housekeeping-related issues.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the housekeeping team.
  • Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role, preferably in a corporate or hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning techniques.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
  • Education:
Diploma or Graduate. Additional certification in housekeeping management is a plus.
  • Work Environment:
The role is primarily based at the Soulflower Marol location, with occasional travel to other sites as needed.
  • The position may require standing, walking, and lifting of light to moderate weights.
  • Working Conditions:
Full-time position based in Marol, Mumbai.
  • Time: 10 am to 7 pm, Wednesday to Monday
