Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join our hospital's finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with healthcare regulations, and effective internal controls. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in auditing, preferably within a healthcare environment, and a strong background in financial processes and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Planning and Execution:
- Plan, schedule, and conduct audits of various hospital departments, focusing on financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop audit programs, conduct risk assessments, and identify potential areas for improvement.
- Financial and Operational Audits:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of financial processes, such as billing, revenue cycle, and expense tracking.
- Ensure that hospital practices align with internal policies, accounting standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Assess and test internal controls to identify weaknesses, inefficiencies, or potential compliance issues.
- Work with department heads to implement corrective actions and monitor adherence to hospital policies.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare detailed audit reports, summarizing findings and recommending actionable solutions.
- Present findings to hospital management and suggest best practices to improve financial processes.
- Follow-Up Audits and Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct follow-up audits to ensure implementation of recommended improvements.
- Keep updated on changes in healthcare regulations and industry best practices to enhance audit processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of auditing experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
