Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Hospital Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a healthcare or hospital environment. This role is vital for ensuring the accurate financial management and reporting of hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements for hospital operations.
- Perform monthly reconciliations, variance analysis, and assist in the preparation of financial forecasts.
- Billing and Invoicing:
- Oversee the patient billing process, including invoicing, payments, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with the billing department to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections.
- Budgeting and Expense Management:
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses to ensure they align with hospital budget allocations.
- Track department-wise expenditures and provide periodic budget variance reports.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Assist in preparing documents and reports for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, accounting standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Inventory and Payroll Support:
- Track and reconcile inventory expenses and manage the payroll process for hospital staff.
- Support HR in payroll accounting and maintain staff records for accurate payroll processing.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
