Job Overview:
The Hook Up Engineer role will review constructability and plans material issues. This role understands the full scope of work, contract type, and milestone schedules and ensures to follow company safety plans and procedures. The Hook Up Engineer role is responsible for the overall engineering coordination during hook up campaigns and provides necessary technical support.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Review project scope of work, schedules, and specifications. Understand the requirements and deliverable requirements
Prepare Hook Up task sheets
Review Hook Up schedules
Review drawings for constructability and identify any specific issues and coordinate resolution
Review the material requisitions prior to order
Provide field guidance and ensure compliance with company specification
Attend coordination meeting
Monitor scope changes and input to DTCMS
Prepare test packs
Coordinate materials
Ensure all Engineering deliverables (drawings, materials, and procedures) are available for hook up execution
Coordinate with other Departments for resolution of construction issues
Solve technical problems during executionEssential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
3+ years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor involvement in Hook-Up activities
