Head of Department - Social Science (HOD SST)

• Key Responsibilities:

Academic Leadership: Lead the Social Science Department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

• Curriculum Development: Develop, implement, and review the Social Science curriculum in line with CBSE guidelines.

Teaching: Teach Social Science subjects to secondary and senior secondary classes, delivering engaging and effective lessons.

• Teacher Mentoring: Mentor and support Social Science teachers, facilitating professional development and sharing best practices.

Assessment: Design and oversee assessments, evaluate student performance, and implement strategies for improvement.

• Administrative Duties: Manage departmental budgets, resources, and schedules efficiently.

Extracurricular Activities: Promote and organize extracurricular activities related to Social Science, such as debates, seminars, and educational trips.

• Parent Communication: Maintain effective communication with parents regarding student progress and departmental initiatives.

Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with school policies and CBSE regulations.

• Qualifications and Experience:

Master's Degree in Social Science or related field with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school.

Strong leadership and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for Social Science education.

• Experience in curriculum development and teacher mentoring will be an added advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: 30,
