Hiring for Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Site Management:

Supervise and oversee day-to-day site operations.

• Ensure all construction activities are carried out according to approved plans, specifications, and standards.

Quality Control:

• Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.

Identify and rectify any issues or defects promptly.

Coordination and Communication: Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project flow.

• Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, work logs, and material usage.

Prepare and submit necessary reports to project management.

• Resource Management:

Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, equipment, and labor.

• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all site activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Conduct safety briefings and enforce safe work practices.

Problem Solving: Address and resolve any site issues or conflicts that may arise.

• Implement solutions to mitigate project delays and cost overruns.

Technical Support:

• Provide technical advice and support to site personnel.

Assist in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.

• Proven track record of managing construction sites.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.

Excellent project management and organizational skills.

• Proficient in using construction management software and tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

* Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment as needed.

• Flexibility to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
