The Media Ant is a 12-year-old platform for media discovery, planning, and execution of marketing campaigns. Sports is the Fastest growing vertical in The Media Ant, we are empowering SMBs to advertise on sports platforms mainly on Digital (JioCinema, Hotstar etc.); we have seen good success in closures for IPL, World-Cup, and other mega cricket events in last 2 years.

Job Description:

As the Head of Sports Ad Sales at The Media Ant, you will play a pivotal role in leading and expanding our Sports business. You will be based out of Bangalore and reporting to the Head of Sales.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sports Pipeline: Creating a set of Key Accounts from within TMA existing clients as well as potential newclients to pitch and close sports deals- these are predominantly mid and large size SMEs
  2. Understanding Client's requirement, understand their brand journey and how Sports media can help their brand in an impactful way
  3. Solution based sales: coordinate with the Central Sports planning team to create custom solutions & plans for client buy-in and conversion
  4. Team Management: manage a team of Sports sales managers across our Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore offices.

Job Experience Required:

Preferred industry: B2B Services-SME Sales, Media Ad Inventory Sales, Software SaaS sales

8-12 years of sales experience

Location: Bangalore

Day-to-Day Work:

  • Create and manage sales pipeline
  • Work with the Central Planning team to create right brand solutions
  • Working closely with TMA Account Management team in their city and the HQ team to identify potential clients

Qualifications:

Must-Have:

  • B2B sales experience with minimum 6+ years
  • Experience with managing the top 10% of clients in their organization's business
  • SME Sales experience Ability to concurrently engage with 20+ clients at a given point in time
  • TeamLeadership: Has managed a team in the past
  • Communication & Analytical skills: sound communication skills and analytical insights

Good to Have:

  • Media Ad Sales experience
