Understand the market in terms of size, share, structure, potential, customer segmentation, buyer behaviour and competitor analysis within the region and country for Trade Finance products.n
Contribute to the formulation of the sales budget/pricing process including concessions.n
Lead in implementing financing strategies to ensure trades are properly financed.n
Approve plans for daily transactional requirements to optimise trade finance applications.n
Manage unit expenses & be responsible for the portfolio's financial growth through good client retention and services.n
Lead in the use of technology to improve work innovation and productivity.n
Design strategies for better use of trade facilities.n
Drive trade clearing and settlement processes to ensure all accounts are updated and transfer of money is arranged.n
Develop short term and long term sales and product plans, focusing on customers, competition, revenue growth, product life cycle and service.n
Achieve Trade revenue and volume budgets and growth as determined from time to timen
Utilize market research and competitor benchmarking exercises to help shape Trade Finance sales, marketing, product, pricing and service strategies.n
Ensure relevant laws and regulations are followed for trade documents.n
Establish controls to reduce credit and exposure risks in trade operations.n
Establish trade record guidelines and policies to promote efficiency.n
Oversee the department's financial budget use against department work plan.n
Organize sales programs to both staff and customers for growth and product penetration of the portfolio, identify new business opportunities and cross sell other key banking products.n
Oversee the tracking and proper allocation of revenues to the unit.n
Job Requirements:n
Bachelor/Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fieldsn
Working experience of 12-15 Yrs in Trade Finance and transactional banking fieldn
Strong Trade Finance product development skills and well understanding of banking productsn
Good project management and analytical skills with strong logical thinkingn
