Introduction
nDeutsche Bahn International Operations GmbH is a part of the DB group, a world-leading global railway company with an extensive organization in Germany and projects around the world. Our company offers a technically sophisticated and customized infrastructure, mobility, and transport solutions. We acquire, initiate and manage rail operations and maintenance projects outside Europe. We are looking for transport and mobility enthusiasts and entrepreneurs with long-standing experience in railway operations and projects in India or worldwide.

nWe are currently seeking you to build up and manage the operation and maintenance of a Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) and Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) business in Delhi, India. This 82km long Delhi-Meerut line will consist of 16 RRTS and 6 MRTS stations. This will include developing a local O&M company from scratch to full operations, developing and leading a passionate and performance driven team, steering quality, performance, and customer satisfaction as well as ensuring economic success in India.

  • nLead the initial and regular training of the O&M staff and regular review and update of the training plans according to the relevant reports and regulations.
  • nEstablish and coordinate an organization-wide approach to training and development.
  • nDefine and document cost-effective training and development plans; manage changes to plans, as needed, due to priority and need changes.
  • nEnsure regulatory compliance of required Corporate, Local, Federal training
  • nMonitor, maintain, measure and report training courses taken via various tracking tools (i.e. Train Tracker, Training Portal)
  • nDevelop curriculum to ensure continued success, safety and management of staff
  • nDevelop and maintain a training catalog outlining all internal and external courses provided by the organization.
  • nHire, train, supervise, motivate, and develop training and development staff; manage schedules and workflow.
  • nAssign duties and monitors quality of work; assures staff conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations.
  • nDefine minimum skill proficiencies for critical positions and develops a process for evaluating incumbents for the purpose of identifying strengths and weaknesses.
  • nProvide internal consulting to individuals and departments on training and development opportunities that will enhance their performance.
  • nDevelop and implement programs, processes, and strategies to plan, evaluate, develop, and improve human and organizational resources to optimize their contribution to the company.
  • nPrepare and monitor training budget.
  • nProvides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
  • nGraduate, preferably technical qualification
  • nMinimum 9 years of experience
  • nExceptional interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, written and oral communication skills required.
  • nExperience in Metro/Railway will be a value add
  • nGood written and communication skills in general
  • nExcellent knowledge of English
