Head of Special Projects

Job Description:

- Direct accountability and co-management of Digital Transformation initiatives in Finance

- Overseeing Financial and Tax due-diligence with external auditors (Big4), investors, and lenders

- Managing venture debt fund raising activities

- Managing equity fund raising processes

- Handling mergers and acquisitions

- Developing and maintaining Financial Authority Matrix and Management Authority Matrix

- Leading other strategic projects as assigned by the CFO

- Managing strategic workstreams for Order to Cash (O2C)

- Overseeing Procure to Pay (P2P) processes

- Handling Record to Report (R2R) functions

- Managing Invest to Divest (Asset Management) activities

- Supervising both direct and indirect taxation

- Managing treasury operations

- Overseeing banking operations

- Handling Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

- Managing business finance operations

- Overseeing plant finance activities

- Managing product costing processes

- Conducting internal audits

- Leading related management reporting and investor discussions

- Ensuring timely publication of financial statements and cash flow reports

- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly variance analysis reports

- Preparing technical memos for accounting positions in alignment with auditors and industry peers

- Establishing governance frameworks for quality control over financial transactions and reporting

- Developing and documenting all finance and accounting processes and policies

- Leading ERP enhancement projects and automating operational and reporting routines

- Acting as controller for group finance process design and system implementation

- Managing regulatory compliances including Accounting, RBI, FEMA, ROC, and Tax

- Coordinating with Corporate Secretarial and Legal teams on compliance matters

- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team management skills

- In-depth experience of all finance processes; IndAS accounting

- Expertise in SAP various modules

- Experience in building and scaling finance teams, systems, and processes

- Experience in handling accounts of listed entities and conducting due-diligences

- Proficiency in MS Office and GSuite - Ability to build successful relationships across stakeholders - Effective time management, task prioritization, and adherence to strict timelines

- Chartered Accountant with industry experience in Automotive, Retail, Ecommerce, Manufacturing, etc.

- Relevant work experience of 20+ years (post qualification) with at least 5-8 years in a Controllership function

- Experience working in/with a Big4 company in audit/accounting domain is an added advantage
