The group currently develops a 10 million square feet of Grade-A industrial warehousing in major cities throughout India comprising single and multi-storey warehousing and cold storage logistics.
Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Development & Construction you will be responsible for:
- Creation of a centralised contracts and procurement system for an extensive project portfolio that encapsulates direct and indirect feedback loops for accountability, reliability and integrity.
- Developing standards for contracts, including presentation of budget, payment terms, general language and provisions.
- Conducting contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing discussions, and obtain senior management input on timelines and deliverables.
- Assuring accuracy and appropriateness of contract text and attachments
- Multi department interface with internal design and costing teams, project construction teams, intercompany departments such as legal and finance.
- Establishing relationships and strategic identification and assessment of specialized contractors and subcontractors for project engagement.
- Preparation, administration, negotiation and coordination of execution of construction contracts, consultant agreements, purchase and supply agreements and all binding requirements for large scale construction projects Pan-India.
- Prepare and interface with key suppliers and vendors within India and internationally for the preparation of supply agreements and purchase agreements in conjunction with procurement alliance agreements.
- Developing and implementing strategies for the effective negotiation and management of strategic contracts and suppliers.
- Developing, implementing and monitoring the procurement strategy, policy and procedures for an addressable spend in the region for direct and Indirect categories
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Procurement & Contract should have:
- A minimum of 15 to 20 yrs of experience dealing with Industrial and logistic parks industry
- A civil engineer who can relocate to Bangalore
