nIn addition to Inflection.io, we are also the founders of PLGTM.com. PLGTM provides community, content, and conversations on the GTM side of product-led growth (PLG). This includes our annual Summit, executive roadshows and dinners, and more. These events are run by and hosted by Inflection.io (you), but branded PLGTM. You can learn more at PLGTM.com.
nAbout the role
nYou will be spearheading everything PLGTM. Events and field marketing, search, content, and more (in partnership with a content marketing manager). You will primarily be owning PLGTM-branded events, including Inflection.io's component at these events, with a major emphasis on our Summit event. The last Summit was hosted in April 2024 and you can see reactions here here here here here here here here here here here here here here here here here.
nResponsibilities include
nOwning end-to-end PLGTM Summit, a multi-day event in San Francisco with hundreds of attendees
nOwning end-to-end PLGTM exec roadshows and dinners, which are day events spanning US and eventually the world
nOwning Inflection.io component at these events and other 3rd party events, including (and particularly) sales dinners, happy hours, booth sponsorships, etc.
nOwning everything PLGTM including newsletter, research and more, building it into a mini Gartner.
nBeing a B2B marketing content creator, such as hosting webinars, LinkedIn lives, etc.
nIdeal candidates
nHave owned a technology / SaaS event end-to-end with a minimum of 200 attendees across an entire day. Badges, agenda, vendors, AV, logistics.
nBelieve no work is beneath them. They will do what it takes to execute a flawless event. For example, they will pick up trash at events (I'll be right alongside you doing this too).
nWork with a significant and sufficient amount of PDT overlapping hours in the run up to PLGTM Summit. Many events we run or attend are located in California and require coordinating with California-based vendors.n
Have a passport and B-1 or similar visa for traveling to the US for onsite execution of the events.
nAre incredibly detail oriented, no/low ego, driven to succeed, and not satisfied with average or OK level work.
nQualifications
nHave owned (hosted) a technology / SaaS event end-to-end with a minimum of 200 attendees
nHave a passport and visa be willing to travel for executing the events, including the US
nHave held some kind of marketing leadership role before, such as a Director of Demand Gen or area marketing head at a venture backed startup
nUnderstand this is a startup and job duties will change from time to time, there is little support - YOU are the owner - and the quality bar is very high
